The RAD Reversible Climbing Ramp is a versatile movement piece designed to grow with your child and expand the possibilities of RAD climbing structures. Designed to complement RAD Pikler Triangles, the Climbing Arch, and the Play Cube, it offers both gentle introductions to climbing and more advanced challenges as children gain confidence.

For infants and early climbers, the ramp can be placed on a low rung to create a shallow incline, making it an inviting first experience with climbing structures. As children grow stronger and more adventurous, the ramp can be positioned higher to function as a slide or a steeper climbing challenge.

The ramp features two usable sides: one smooth side for sliding and controlled movement, and one side with rungs for climbing and grip practice. Children naturally adjust the angle and orientation based on their comfort level, allowing play to remain child led and adaptable. An additional stabilizing rung helps prevent pivoting when the ramp is in use.

Handmade in our shop from premium Baltic birch wood, the Reversible Climbing Ramp reflects RAD’s commitment to sturdy construction, thoughtful design, and quality materials. It supports children up to 100 pounds and features smooth, easy to clean surfaces for everyday use.

While the ramp works well on its own, it truly shines as an add on to RAD climbing pieces. It can also be laid flat between two structures to create a balance beam or bridge, expanding opportunities for coordination and imaginative play.

Although designed to encourage exploration and free form movement, children should always be supervised during use to ensure safe play.

The Climbing Ramp works with the Pikler Triangle, Climbing Arch, and Play Cube. It can be used to bridge two pieces together or set at a slope to create a smooth climb up or down.

Does the Climbing Ramp require assembly?

No! The Climbing Ramp comes fully assembled and ready to use.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Shipping estimates are available on each product page. These indicate when the item will be shipped from our woodshop in Los Angeles. Domestic orders are shipped via UPS Ground, and transit may take up to 5-7 business days depending on your location. Please note that our team does not operate on weekends and federal holidays. Orders placed on these days will be shipped on the next business day.

Is assembly easy? Tools? How do I assemble?

Our furniture requires minimal assembly, needing only an Allen key, which we provide along with online instructions. If your order includes over 20 screws, we'll also include hex drill bits to make assembly quicker. An electric drill could be useful but isn't necessary. You can find all our assembly instructions here.

How should I clean for my RAD furniture?

To clean your furniture, use a non-toxic mixture of vinegar and warm water. Spray the surface and immediately wipe it dry with a clean cloth. Never soak or immerse wooden furniture in water as it can cause the wood to swell and deform.

Can I use my furniture outside?

You can use your furniture outdoors but don't leave it outside for longer than necessary, as it's not designed to withstand extended exposure to outdoor elements. After use, wipe down the surface with a dry cloth. Leaving your furniture outside may void your warranty.

What is your policy on returns and exchanges?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused products in their original packaging. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact our support team within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or replacement. Please note, customized or assembled items are non-returnable.
