The RAD Rocking Boat and Stairs Set is a versatile, two in one movement piece designed to support balance, coordination, and social play from infancy through early childhood. With one side functioning as climbing stairs and the other as a rocking boat, this piece adapts naturally as children grow and their movement skills evolve.

For crawlers and early movers, the stair side provides an inviting surface for climbing, crawling, and exploring height changes in a controlled way. As children gain confidence, the piece can be flipped to become a rocking boat, introducing more advanced balance challenges and imaginative play.

When used as a rocking boat, the design comfortably seats up to four children, encouraging cooperation and teamwork. What age is the Rocking Boat for?

The Rocking Boat / Stairs is suitably aged for crawlers up to about 5 years old. Crawlers can start by using the step side for early climbing and exploration, and as they grow, the piece transitions into a rocking boat for more advanced balance and imaginative play.

Although our products encourage exploration and free-form play, please never leave your child unattended to avoid injury.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Shipping estimates are available on each product page. These indicate when the item will be shipped from our woodshop in Los Angeles. Domestic orders are shipped via UPS Ground, and transit may take up to 5-7 business days depending on your location. Please note that our team does not operate on weekends and federal holidays. Orders placed on these days will be shipped on the next business day.

Is assembly easy? Tools? How do I assemble?

Our furniture requires minimal assembly, needing only an Allen key, which we provide along with online instructions. If your order includes over 20 screws, we'll also include hex drill bits to make assembly quicker. An electric drill could be useful but isn't necessary. You can find all our assembly instructions here.

How should I clean for my RAD furniture?

To clean your furniture, use a non-toxic mixture of vinegar and warm water. Spray the surface and immediately wipe it dry with a clean cloth. Never soak or immerse wooden furniture in water as it can cause the wood to swell and deform.

Can I use my furniture outside?

You can use your furniture outdoors but don't leave it outside for longer than necessary, as it's not designed to withstand extended exposure to outdoor elements. After use, wipe down the surface with a dry cloth. Leaving your furniture outside may void your warranty.

What is your policy on returns and exchanges?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused products in their original packaging. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact our support team within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or replacement. Please note, customized or assembled items are non-returnable.
