The RAD Pikler® Triangle is a foundational gross motor tool designed to support balance, coordination, strength, and confidence in young children. It is the only Pikler Triangle certified by the Pikler Organization in the United States, developed in alignment with the pedagogical principles of Dr. Emmi Pikler to encourage safe, self directed movement and exploration.

Handmade in the USA with RAD’s signature attention to detail and quality of materials, this climbing triangle provides a sturdy, inviting structure for children learning to pull to stand, climb, and navigate space with their bodies. Its intentional design supports both independent movement and shared play, allowing children to climb inside, collaborate with peers, and invent new ways to engage with the structure.

The triangle features an automatic locking mechanism to keep it securely open during use and folds flat to under 5 inches for easy storage when not in use. Pair it with the Reversible Climbing Ramp to expand climbing, sliding, and open ended play possibilities.

What age is the Pikler Triangle for?

The Pikler Triangle is best suited for children ages 9 months to about 6 years, with the most significant developmental benefits occurring between 9 months and 30 months. This is when children are rapidly building balance, coordination, strength, and confidence, making the triangle an ideal tool for safe climbing and exploration.

Older children continue to enjoy it for more advanced climbing challenges and imaginative play, so it remains useful well beyond the toddler stage.

Although our products are crafted to encourage exploration and free-form play, please never leave your child unattended to avoid injury.

What is the weight limit on your Climbing Triangles?

We recommend a maximum weight of 100 lbs per child for our Climbing Triangles and Arch.

When can I expect my order to arrive?

Shipping estimates are available on each product page. These indicate when the item will be shipped from our woodshop in Los Angeles. Domestic orders are shipped via UPS Ground, and transit may take up to 5-7 business days depending on your location. Please note that our team does not operate on weekends and federal holidays. Orders placed on these days will be shipped on the next business day.

Is assembly easy? Tools? How do I assemble?

Our furniture requires minimal assembly, needing only an Allen key, which we provide along with online instructions. If your order includes over 20 screws, we'll also include hex drill bits to make assembly quicker. An electric drill could be useful but isn't necessary. You can find all our assembly instructions here.

How should I clean for my RAD furniture?

To clean your furniture, use a non-toxic mixture of vinegar and warm water. Spray the surface and immediately wipe it dry with a clean cloth. Never soak or immerse wooden furniture in water as it can cause the wood to swell and deform.

Can I use my furniture outside?

You can use your furniture outdoors but don't leave it outside for longer than necessary, as it's not designed to withstand extended exposure to outdoor elements. After use, wipe down the surface with a dry cloth. Leaving your furniture outside may void your warranty.

What is your policy on returns and exchanges?

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for unused products in their original packaging. If you receive a damaged or defective item, contact our support team within 7 days of delivery for an exchange or replacement. Please note, customized or assembled items are non-returnable.
